NSW: Pair has lucky escape in plane crash in state's north
SYDNEY, Aug 9 AAP - A man and woman had a lucky escape when their light aircraft crashedand burst into flames at Singleton Airport in the Hunter Valley.
Anthony McClenaghan from the NSW Ambulance Service said a 54-year-old man and a 49-year-oldwoman escaped with facial cuts and abrasions when their plane crashed at 6.20pm (AEST).
The man also suffered a fractured wrist and both were taken by ambulance to SingletonHospital in a stable condition.
Mr McClenaghan said the aircraft was destroyed by fire and police were investigatingthe cause of the accident.
