NSW: ATM found in police raid
Police have seized an artillery shell, an ATM and cannabis plants from a Wollongong home.
Army and rescue squad specialists were sent to the home in Crana Place as a precaution
after Warilla police found the Howitzer tank shell during an unrelated search.
The seven centimetre-long shell was similar to those used in field battle.
The home was declared safe at 1.45pm (AEST).
Police won't say whether anyone was at the home at the time of the search, but say
no arrests were made.
Senior Constable PAUL BUGDEN says officers also found an ATM machine which was stolen
from a Wollongong service station on Thursday.
He could not say if the money had been accessed.
The haul also included 18 cannabis plant with a street value of $36,000 and hydroponic equipment.
Investigations are continuing.
